There are two pipes not represented here, my pocket pipe that I keep at my shop, and my cob that I keep in my motorcycle.

The first pipe starting from the left to right, is my very first pipe. Its a basket pipe that I got new 17 years ago or so. The second is a Chippendale that I got a few years back, a very good smoker. The third is a basket pipe that I bought because I had forgotten to take one with me. A surprisingly good smoker :).The fourth pipe is my Baccus meer the second pipe I ever owned. It is a great smoker and a lot of fun. I call it Ole Tom, after Tom Bombadil, my favorite character from the Lord of the Rings. The fifth pipe is an Armellini, an estate pipe I got a few years back, and one of my favorite pipes. It smokes very nicely and is very pretty :). The sixth pipe is an SMS meer that I love, its not the best smoker, but still a good smoker. Its the second new, and most expensive pipe in my collection. Lastly along the back is a sixteen inch clay that was given to me, and probably the best smoker in the bunch. I don't smoke it much because its so long that it a bit awkward to light, and hold.

Thanks guys, I knew you could appreciate my little collection.

As for my rotation, it depending on how busy I am. I smoke between 3 and 7 bowls a day.

In addition to the one I have at my shop I will take at least one of these with me as well so I can rotate them. I choose them at random according to my mood. I only smoke the SMS meer, and the clay tavern pipe at home, but they need no rest, you can smoke bowls back to back with both of them. The first pipe I only smoke when I am relaxing it has no lip on the bit so if you clench it, it will shoot out of your mouth. I like to have it with me for sitting around with a glass of scotch, so many times I will take it along with my cob (not pictured)on my motorcycle. The cob for cruising slowly on the back roads, and out door stops, and the briar for going into a pub to wet the whistle if ya will. I take the Armellini when the wife and I go on a date, or any such occassion that I may want to dress nice. But I will smoke it randomly when the mood strikes.

At my shop I just hang the bit in my fan so it will dry out faster and allow me to smoke another bowl in it sooner. So I only need two in a day, I may only smoke two or three bowls a day there any way. I am a busy man there.

I never have to worry about ghosting them because I only smoke English blends, latakias, or periques. If I do smoke an aromatic which is rare, its in the clay. I have a jar of latakia, and a jar of perique that I add to nearly every thing I smoke anyway.

That clay is probably the best smoking pipe ever. It dont matter what you smoke, it never ghosts. Its smokes even wet toby to white ash with minimal relights. You can smoke bowls back to back in it with out giving it a rest. You will need a one first. I wish I had ten of them only shorter. Maybe 8 inches instead of sixteen.
