My Latest Tamper - Custom

Since I'm a pilot I love things that are related to flying here and there so I commisioned Rik over at RuffWorksUSA to carve me a custom tamper.

Wow, very cool! That's an heirloom piece for sure. I didn't realize that you were a pilot. From some of your earlier posts, I was thinking you were a tobacconist. Congrats on the tamp.

Notes from Rik about it

The wood is Dalmata and the base is wedged between Briar. I left all of it unstained, buffed in some carnauba wax, then a coat of polyurethane on the prop.

That is so cool and beautiful . Graduated with a fellow who had a flying service, Parties at his house he had a big prop like that that he had made into a slow turning ceiling fan in his Big, Big den, seeing your tamper reminded me of him, he passed last year of cancer. Not raining on your parade but it brought back memories. Love it.
