I was perusing smokingpipes over the weekend and this Rad Davis popped up in their estate section so I just had to have it. It is my idea of the perfect flake pipe. It has nice thick walls, is a perfect group 5 and it weighs only 45 grams. It is incredibly comfortable to clench and it smokes brilliantly. As with all my Rad Davis pipes it never needs a pipe cleaner to soak up excess moisture, his drilling is that perfect, and his briar is that good. It sits perfectly which is kind of neat, it is my first Dublin sitter.

Thanks guys I appreciate the nice comments.
Shawn, this pipe is going into my Virginia/Perique Flake section so it will be seeing a lot of SG St. James Flake, Escudo, Solani 633. I have loads of other for the Best Brown, love that stuff as well. That review is the only one I have done on that site. I am not much for writing reviews, too much work.

Thanks Mike, this one makes number 6. I have Rad making me 2 more. I can't wait till they get here.
Roth, the stem is vulcanite and the ferrule could be briar or it could be some type of exotic wood, I can't really tell. If I had to guess it is some type of boxwood or cocobola or something in that vein.
