All in all just shy a little over $9,500 four of that was for the bus.Impressive! How much did it cost you?
I was lucky the motor was sound when I bought it, and all I really have had to do was, strip out the seats, fashion a freshwater tank and wastewater tank, then redo the insides to what you see in the pic's. My next project making a bobber out of an old Triumph BonnevilleI have a friend who bought a school bus to convert into a motor home. I don’t know what the cost of his final build but the bus wasn’t a traditional bus to start with (it was a hybrid school bus and transport bus) It was built originally in 1955 and designed for rural schools and had storage under the bus.
He purchased it in 2010 for $15.
He’s a diesel mechanic and it’s been modernized and completely rebuilt.
He finished it last year. So his conversion took approximately 15 years.
I do know he purchased 6 different buses/RVs and cannibalized them all.
Yours look a more practical route.
thanks, it's still just an old yellow school bus for nowCongrats! Nice job. What's the outside look like?
