So here you are sitting on the deck enjoying a great bowl, letting the cool night air settle over you, the Lab at your feet, the evening sounds floating over the woods. You finish up and are feeling good and a little eager for your snuggle bunny. She of course in under the covers reading her latest woman-what-ever. You dis-robe and sidle over and give her a smooch and suddenly, "Oh my God, your breath is awful." Deflated you reach under the bed and grab the 10 gauge, NO, that is bad, BAD DOG. Oh no, not more of the bad breath syndrome. Mints, brushing, Listerine NOTHING gets it away so you can, well you know with your mostly better half.
Until now. I have found a product that kills most if not all of the non-smoker olfactory offences. It is TopCare Whitening Pre-Brush Rinse with Tarter Control. Why? Because of the oxidizing properties of the rinse. It has two chemicals in it. 1. hydrogen peroxide and 2. pentasodium tirphosphate. The other stuff in it is acidic and minty so the real work is the two listed. It is a pre-rinse so make sure you brush after swishing it around or your teeth will disintegrate. Not really but it is not good to let these two work horses loiter on the enamel.
So, here is the question. What do you use and how good does it work? If it works better than the product listed my wife will want me to purchase gallons of it. The 10 gauge is not a solution, you go through to many questions when the neighbors come over. :D

Phillips sonicare and some Sensadyne seems to work for me, lol. Gets my teeth squeaky clean, and no breath complaints. My lady smokes as well... may be part of the charm!

I agree with Lawrence and I also suggest routine brushing. From what I've been reading lately, that frequent use of peroxide will pose a real hazard to gum health...

Brushing, flossing, and regular dental exams should keep you in your woman's good graces.

Dr Ken's mouthwash is excellent - has alot of antioxidants, no alcohol, great spearment taste and cooling herbal extracts to chill out mouth and gums - I highly recommend it.

Brother, right after the smoke is just asking for too much. There is a residual pleasure that remains after a smoke and "getting rid" of it right after is painful. Men who smoke a pipe don't smell like a freshly born baby nor should we. I always take a glass of water and wait about as long as the bowl lasted for the flavor to fade before I "freshen up". For the male body, cologne is always a good choice. The aroma of a pipe blends well with men's cologne for an arousal scent.

I read an article on the internet sometime ago about health and pipe smoking. It was written by a doctor who is also a pipe smoker. Anyway, he ultimately concluded saying that if you just rinse your mouth out with some water it should be enough to combat any health risks of oral cancers and such, but that you could also use mouthwash so long as it doesn't contain alcohol as the alcohol will tend to open up your pores and such and actually seal in the nasties which can cause oral cancers. I know this doesn't have anything to do with bad breath, but as a side note to health, I thought it was interesting. So I actually keep some 0% alcohol scope wintergreen in my smoke room for after bowl oral hygiene.

Hey, You have to try this stuff. It was recomended by a dentist. It doesnt burn and is tasteless but comes with a small bottle of mint flavor that you can add to it. I just throw the mint away. It REALLY WORKS. It's a little expensive but what does that matter when you have that special woman. LOL Its called CloSYS. You can find it at Wallgreens.
