My First Straight Virginia

Wow, started with VA #1? I've smoked it before, and in my experience it was like making out with a rattlesnake. They need to change the name to "Virgina #2", because it really is $#!^.
I still have some on hand in my cellar and all I use it for is a "booster" to fill the void at the bottom of my tobacco chamber below the draft hole on my Oom Paul. I then pack the tobacco I WANT to smoke on top of it. So all it ever does is shoulder the burden of the superior tobacco from my cellar, as well as soak up any moisture from the smoke.
There are too many other great Straight VA's out there to waste your time with that stuff.

Well never had this problem yet.But of course still new to the pipe era as well.I.m gonna take in the consideration of the tobaccos above to try and in due time will post my experience here.
