This coming summer my Brother-in-law and I are partaking in a massive canoe trip. We are paddling up the Missinaibi River, a once frequent Fur traders canoe route between Lake Superior to James Bay. In total the lower half we are doing is 320 Km, we are spending 12 days paddling.
I decided in lew of our grand trip that has been 2 years in the planning to come up with a blend for us to enjoy along this historic route.
Perhaps you know, perhaps you did not that Voyageurs were avid pipe smokers, in fact they use to use their pipe breaks as a method of keeping track of time. The Pipe breaks were called in French "Pipée".
So I am officially calling this blend: Damnyak's "Voyageur's Pipée".
Here is the "recipe" for Voyageur's Pipée.
Equal parts of:
-McClelland VBC - Vanilla Black Cavendish.

-Lane Limited - 1-Q.
One eighth the amount of above of:
-Altadis Tobacco Galleria - Rum & Maple.
Mix well and store in Mason jar for at least one month.
Its a nice Aro, burns cool and has a wonderful room note. Perfect for around a campfire.

Super cool - sounds like the trip of a lifetime. And the "Voyageur's Pipée" sounds pretty nice too.
But you might want to bring a bow and arrows along (just sayin') ;)

Like the blend idea. It's easy to overlook black Cavendish when you put together tobaccos,

but most commercial tobacconists use it regularly. It brings things down to a

more mild level but adds flavor too. Good choice. Bon voyage and safe passage.
