I ordered my first Peterson from Cup O' Joes early last week. It got here Saturday and I can't describe how pleased I am. I ordered a Peterson Captain Pete with the P-lip. It is an amazing smoke. I have enjoyed the few partial bowls I have smoked to break it in. More so than my 2 Boswell's, which I really like. I am very new to the world of pipes. I got my Boswell's on a whim a few years ago while getting cigars in his shop in Chambersburg. I like how this Peterson feels, and it looks amazing. I'm not sure whether I am going to smoke one kind of tobacco out of it. I don't really have a wide knowledge of tobacco types. I'm breaking it in with Prince Albert, and I have some Erinmore Flake, which I enjoyed greatly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, sorry for the rambling post. Here is a picture of my new Captain Pete.

You'll love your new Peterson. Even those of us who have a fair number of pipes have several Petersons, and they're fine smokers. Prince Albert is fine, and as you expand your knowledge of pipe smoking, you will no doubt want to add to your tobacco repertoire. We all do.

Welcome to the forums. Looks like you're starting out right! My first real pipe was also a Peterson bulldog.

Welcome to the forums.
I just recently acquired a Pete and now that I know that she likes to be packed full (lets keep this clean gentlemen) it is now one of my favorites to smoke. I just recently purchase an Edwards Bulldog and it is becoming my favorite "driving" pipe. It is light and easy to handle. I hope you get many miles out of that one. I may have to make that my next Pete acquisition.
