my first Morta Experience

I was watching videos on youtube about Morta pipes and how they are supposed to be great. Then I found myself on ebay and picked this babe up unsmoked for $200. It is a Mark Tinsky Morta pipe.

It smokes like a dream, it really is a nice pipe. I'm trying to see what my next morta will be like, I am still in shopping mode. The Morta reminds me a little bit of how meerschaum smokes. It is a similar experience. I have one of each type now. I prefer the Morta, less hastle and not as delicate.

Slick looking pipe. I have yet to get a morta but after reading so much about them here I'm going to refocus my next pipe buy.

I think I was reading about Morta for awhile now. Took awhile until I took the plunge, and I am glad I did. It is really a unique experience. Morta is known as Bog Wood. Bog Wood Article on Wikipedia

Nice pipe. Tinsky's designs don't often catch my eye but that one looks very practical. I would have grabbed it if I saw it first :clap:
