My First Bulldog

I got my first Bulldog in the mail today. My wife told me that she wanted to buy me a pipe for Christmas but has no idea where to start. Soymilkisgood had this Savinelli Duco Carlo for sale, great guy to buy from if you are looking to pick up a pipe. I'm going to break it in tonight with something tastey, what I'm not sure yet.

a Savenelli bent Rhodesian Opera 673 with briar bands for Christmas, another of Savenelli's prettiest.

Smoked it tonight with some PS LNF and really enjoyed the way that it clenches. It may become a quick favorite with ease.

Bulls and rhodeys are becoming my favorite shapes. I love the way they feel and I think they have a classic look to them

That's a good looking pipe! It took me over a year to figure out what shape pipe I was going to settle down with. Purchased my first bent bull dog a week ago. Like it so much that I bought a new peterson and an estate peterson. Those should be arriving next week i hope. The 320s are starting to catch my attention too.

Sorry for offtop friends. I got the Bulldogs by pipemaker A.P.BOURGEOIS recently . I was make a picture for Pipedia and one decided to show here. http://pipedia.org/wiki/Pipe_de_Roi

He did pipes and sold it in his workshop. His pipes were never exported outside France, sold only in France.
