Edited title. Please see Rule 9. -jpm

So, I have been wanting to get myself a artisan made pipe for a number of years (listening to the pipe magazine podcast put that germ of an idea into my head) but I felt that I really could not justify it until I had enough money in the bank.

I finally decided, several months ago, to pull the trigger, on a pipe maker who I had been following for a number of years and I shall be getting a rather special pair in a week or so, and after seeing the video I am really excited to get my hands on them. My only issue now is to think of what my first smoke to break them in will be and then what types of tobacco to dedicate to them, or should I make it a general use pipe? (although I think I will be opening up some of my McClellands brands once I have a decent cake).

My pipes are revealed around the 6 min mark, worth having a look at the others as well, Chris also has a number of videos related to horror and weird stories which are well worth a listen (if you are into the HP Lovecraft mythos, obviously).

So strange, the first time I see mention of Eldritch here, and I contacted them yesterday to see about getting a pipe made too from them. LOL ?

Nice looking pipe, can’t wait to see pics of it when you get it.

Did you know that Ken Byron Ventures made for Eldritch a blend called; The Patience of Dr. Silence.

It’s my understanding, this is the first blend ever made for them.

This tabac is awesome, I’d say at some point try some of this in the pipe.

Dedicating is really up to you, some do it, some don’t. Just be careful with a blend that will Ghost, only smoke a bowl of a blend that might Ghost, then smoke some other blends to smoke the ghost away, before smoking it again, so it doesn’t become a permanent Ghosting, otherwise you might have to do a deep cleaning at some point to re I’ve the Ghost.

Forgot to mention, the resin they use for their stems they created, I’ve been told is as nice as vulcanite but doesn’t oxidize.

I’ve heard them referred to as Eldritch Stems.

P.S. Typo before; you might have to do a deep cleaning at some point to remove the Ghost.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind, May ask Chris about it.

My meerschaum is a Rattray's with a hand poured Eldritch stem. Beautiful looking pipe and it smokes great as well.
