So my wife bought me some cheapie pipes from Ebay but they turned out pretty good imo with a bit of work...the billiard had cobwebs in the bowl. Most of the stem oxidation is gone and they have been through the salt/grain EtOH treatment (the Weber Billiard was a bit nasty) and the Bullcap is a sweet smoke. All they need now is a good polish.
From left to right: Weber Bullcap, Tracy Mincer Freehand, Mountbatten BOWL (apprenticed made Charatan, I think), and a Weber "standing" Billiard. I am not sure what I will smoke in the Mountbatten. First of all, I do not have half an acre of tobacco in my back yard to keep it supplied and second of all, it is huge! Total cost for the pipes my wife bought is less than $38. I do not think any of these are close to being as nice as the pipes that Shaintiques gave me but they will help the rotation.
