My attempt at carve your own

Don't you just love this forum

I have learnt to post photos using an IPAD

This was my 58 year Birthday present from my son, took a week to do, just using rasps, files and sandpaper.

She may not be a prom queen but boy she smokes!

I was a little restricted by the block of wood

You did well with minimal resources. Good goin'!

Now you have the satisfaction of enjoying a thoughtful gift, and something you made on your own. :puffy:

Hey, that's a nifty pipe, very compact but with plenty of bowl and some nice grain. The limited tools for carving gives it a certain aplomb. Good going.

A good start! The good news is after you do maybe 50 pipes, it gets easier to remove everything that's not pipe....:)
