I picked up these today at an antique shop, 2 for $5. The top one is marked Weber Sterling Band, the bottom one says Shelton Imported Briar. The Weber doesn't have the Sterling band or the correct stem, but hey $2.50 won't kill me. I've never done a restoration, so I'm thinking of sending them out to be restored.

They would be good victims for your own first attempts at restoration, nothing to lose other than $5! It's really not so hard to clean up a pipe aesthetically. I guess that top pipe needs a new stem cut though eh, that is getting a little more involved!
That was my thought at first with the bottom pipe, but it has as a screw in tenon that seems to be a bit loose.

Would definitely take the opportunity to at least clean these. As for the loose stem I'm sure someone would be willing and able to guide you through the process.
