Are there any particular movies you like to watch while smoking your pipe? When I was living with my mom and she'd let me have a bowl if I cracked the window I loved to watch the classics from actors such as Humphrey Bogart, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby and anything with Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, or Audrey Hepburn. That is ofcourse aside from the Sherlock Holmes series I stumbled upon on Netflix with the late Jeremy Brett as Holmes. Those versions he did were priceless, all 41 of the 56 Holmes stories. I also liked to watch and rewatch the Lord of the Rings trilogy while having a bowl of Treebeard or Longbottom Leaf in my churchwarden. I bought the collection which had the directors cut, meaning a whole hour added to each movie, for my little brother as a birthday gift and would watch them from time to time. So what do you prefer to put on while you have a bowl?

We watched Red at our pipe club meeting tonight. I enjoyed a few bowls while watching. Only down side was that I would puff more when it got more exciting haha.

I have to say I love the old The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes TV series, and The Adventures of Robin Hood and a good looooong pipe. I rarely ever watch just one episode. Usually I will watch an entire season in the course of a couple of days.

Lately I have been absorbed in the Babylon 5 movies and finished Seasons 1 through 4 tonight (7 movies and 88 episodes) and the first two episodes of season 5. However; I have to say that when I'm watching, I usually begin with my computer in the kitchen and I'll watch 3 maybe 4 episodes while I cook. Then after dinner I can't wait to find out what happens next even though I have the dialog memorized... It matters not... I'm inthralled and my pipe is a much loved and invaluable part of that ineffable experience. Be it The Sea Hawk with Errol Flynn and Brenda Marshall, or Mel Gibson and Julia Sawalha staring in Chicken Run; if I have a pipe... It's all good.

Haha Artie I have very similar tastes. I love that movie and have some great memories of watching it with friends.

In the spirit of bad B movies I have to put The Story of Riki/Riki-Oh out there. It's really best if you watch the english dub as it is hilarious.
One of my favourite movies is The Princess Bride. Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Andre the Giant and a short role from Billy Crystal. Can't get much better than that.
