Hello all and I really love this site. I’ve learned a lot and have added some fantastic leaf to my rotation I would have never found. We all love kicking back, smoking a pipe and watching a movie. There was a mention that I’m the first screenwriter to join the forum, and just saw people talking about Django, and Tarantino. So I thought you guys and gals may want to actually read the script of a movie you really like. To see how a writer actually brings the words to the screen. How crazy is this Tarantino guy? Well I’ve got tons of scripts, have no fear, there is no copyright issues involved. If you want to have any, email me and IF I have it I’ll send it to you. Django is a great read.

People wonder why you should put your email that way in blog/social postings. I owned an internet/software company before I retired. Advertisers are out there right now running sifting programs through 100,000 + blogs a day for email addresses to sell to advertising companies. So a little lesson and trick for you to keep the spam down. Especially on Facebook!
So why am I a screenwriter? I retired young (40) spent a couple years doing the “retired” stuff. Then after becoming bored out of my skull decided to go back to school and try my hand at the hardest thing there is to do – Write a screenplay that actually gets made.

I guess the term would be semi-retired, I don't have to do it but the main thing I get from it is brain food. I found myself losing a bit of the edge, have to keep the mind sharp. It's opened up a great network of creative people for me, and not having to live in LA. I'll be moving back to Maui this year for the "end of days" years. Looking forward to sitting by the ocean, smoking my pipe and writing on the laptop.
Thanks, it's nice to jump back to the forum every once in a while and see what pipe people are talking about. God forbid you mention anything about smoking in the writers forums. :(
