Morning Blend Anyone?

As I sit enjoying my morning Cowboy Coffee from Country Squire I wonder: what blends others might enjoy in the morning?

What do you find yourself reaching for the most frequently in the early hours?

As stated above, usually I'm going Cowboy Coffee or I'll do something bright like a Virginia.

I usually like a burley with my coffee, something not too strong in nicotine, but noticeable.
But, other times, I enjoy a light aromatic, like Folklore, Night Train, or PS LTF. Some may not call these aros, but for me, they are aromatic enough.

Gold Block (light VaBur) mixed with a red Va like F&T Blackjack or, at the moment, a little bit of Sutliff 10 year (Century Charleston Blockade).

I like a stronger tobacco first smoke. Recently it’s been Drucquer & Son’s Casbah. It really is delicious to my palate with coffee.

I may be what the kids call a "basic bitch," but I actually do enjoy Peterson Early Morning Pipe as a day starter, as well as the homage blends H&H Daybreak and Sutliff Match Sunrise (which I blend together: the resulting mix I enjoy even more than the OG EMP).

Also, Cowboy Coffee really is the cat's meow.

Usually I go for something like Sutliff Ready Rubbed Match or Anglers Dream. Lately I’ve been enjoying some Telegraph Hill in the morning.

C&D Burley blends with black coffee when I have time to smoke in the morning. Pegasus, Briar Fox, Burley Flake series #1 through 3, Old Joe Krantz, Haunted Bookshop, Jack Knife Plug.
Sometimes a light Latakia blend.
Sometimes a VaPer.

If I'm not commuting that day and have the time my favourites are probably GH&Co Dark Plug, Kendal No.7 or Dark, Bold Kentucky, or really anything dark and heavy to pair with a strong black coffee/espresso.

If I am commuting then I tend to reach for C&D Billy Budd, HBS, or a Burley of some sort. But I frequently rotate my pocket jars to keep things interesting.

That’s good stuff. You should definitely have a side dish of smoked kielbasa with it. Just be sure you don’t get the two confused.

Pegasus is a usual for me lately before i even get up and moving. Burley blends are my jam after breakfast with coffee, too. Penny Farthing and Mycroft are usual morning offenders also. Then on to all the other flavors throughout the day.

My first smoke is usually what was left in the pipe from the previous evening. After that, it could be anything. I don't have a morning blend. Right now it's easiest (while driving to work) just to scoop out a bowl from one of those pound bags C&D sells their bulk in.

My first of the day is usually around 2pm. It's anything goes for me. Sometimes its what's within reach, and sometimes I go digging.

My smokes are usually in the afternoon after lunch.
It’s been a loooong time since I’ve had a b’fast smoke

So, like early morning music - gentle strains to wake you up gradually or a few, not-so-gentle cymbal clashes to get the heart pumping ?

There is a place for both approaches, I suppose

Mouth-filling, meaty and chewy.
Smokey - woody rather than incense-like.
Condimental pepper.
Definitely not an all-day smoke.
