Common sense and tolerance. Most people love the strong smell of a bonfire flying in their face and fondly think of their camping experiences but they cannot stand a small quality cigarette lit 10 yards away from them.

The poll results show very consistently that the majority believes in the right to make lifestyle choices (moderate obesity being the harmless looking example put in up front).
The polls also show that many parents don't believe in any true and uncontrolled danger for kids if asked in a neutral and innocious way. They probably don't believe either that their kids will start smoking because of "bad influences".
The third poll asks implicitly the same thing, but only in a more pronounced way. That's when the numbers are swapped. Parents who'd have been more cautious about the kids environment (toys) in the first way would have weeded out possible "bad influences" such as smokers in bars. Parents who know that their kids understand the pointless danger of smoking cigarettes won't be concerned of smoke-filled bars.
Show these results to bystanders slightly siding the Nazis and they will think about their fundamental and comical bias. They've been conditioned into thinking that tobacco is evil while they are taught to tolerate other risky behaviours such as sky diving or munching on mountains of junk food.
