I opened a tin of Dundill 965 and it seems too moist. What's the best way to dry it out a bit?

I just put a bowl-full of tobacco on a paper plate and just let it dry on there.

To your liking. Ive been recently advised of the pinch test, which is pinching the tobacco together and if it doesnt stick together when you drop it then its good to go.

i too have nuked baccy with no problems, even larger quantities. In arizona, ya can also just set the baccy in the sun, but not for long. Sun dried.

Sun dried is a great way to dry it out. A little in a small, shallow container and place it on a sun-facing window seal. Most times simply air-drying will work. As was said, place a bowl's worth or two on a paper towel or on a small plate or something and just let it dry to the level you like. Try 3 or 4 of these together and experiment to see what you like best... That way next time you'll have a game plan already.

I guess I live in a different world.
I don't have a microwave to nuke stuff in and if I put anything out on a paper towel it would probably re-hydrate.
I usually just set my tobacco on fire to dry it out. :?

 Philip you never cease to crack me up!

Depending on where you live and the relative humidity will greatly affect how long it may take to dry out your baccy. I was recently in Puerto Vallarta on vacation where the humidity was at 90%. Even inside of an air conditioned room my baccy would take several hours to dry out even just a little bit. Like dsturg369 says, you just need to experiment to see what works best for you.
