A picture would be nice. Every time I suggested the exact same thing to Phil, he kept telling why it couldn't be done. Really great news, even if I was left in the dark for once. Now if only they offered an acrylic stem for those of us who can't tolerate vulcanite.
Thanks for the picture. It looks as if they've gone to a more stanardized sized shank. I'm hoping that the stem is plastic. Maybe it's time to order a couple more CCSS Natural Freehands.
You know what guys. I hope I didn't misinform you? I just reread the email. (It didn't say either way) I had sent mine in for repair and it somehow got lost so they sent me a new one. Now maybe they just did it on mine since I had a split shank? Now that I think about it..but maybe its standard now because it has been an issue for many. Maybe by request? I hope my first post was right! Sorry if I was wrong and just got a special shank? But at any rate you could always just ask and I'm Sure they would pop one on for you.
Well, I'll be talking to Phil either this week or next, and I'll fund out for sure. The reason he had given me against it in the past is that each Freehnd shank is different, which is part of what makes them Freehands.
Yeah those look great. Very cool..I have to admitt that my old shank looked a little better but it spilt pretty easy. I barley pushed it. So I'm glad to have a more solid one. To bad they don't just put rings on the other ones? Oh well I guess you can't have everything. And I'm sure it easier to say then do?. I look forward to seeing the bulldogs when they come out. They will be a hit I'm sure.
The CCSS Natural Freehands are even better performing cobs than the standard MM Freehand. The Natural is lighter in weight, and smokes cooler and smoother. These naturals are the best pipes I've ever smoked, period.
