Mixing Latakia With Peterson's Holiday Season 2011

I bought the Peterson Christmas blend on a whim. I smoked 3 bowls and decided that it is too sweet for me. Just today I read a review of Silem's Black and the one reviewer likened it to the Peterson blend with latakia.

It got me thinking about adding some Latakia to it so I went to the B&M and got 2 oz. of straight latakia.

Now, how much do I add to the Peterson Holiday Season 2011 to approximate the Silem's Black?

I've never had the black but all the reviews are very high.

Anyone here smoke the Silem's blend that can give me an idea of which ratio of latakia to the Peterson blend may work? Looks like there's the better part of 2 oz of Peterson left.

Any help will be appreciated before I create a Frankemstein blend.

i would get a small bowl and just mix a pipefull at a time try one pinch of lat to 2 pinches of christmas and tinker from there

i mix 25% of my baccy's before i put em in bowl, i just mix a bowlfull at a time till i git what i want. I would try on a med size bowl, prob a pinch and mix it up good. Increase or decrease ur next bowl accordingly

Thanks for the advice. Tomorrow I'll enter the lab (kitchen) and start with a 25% latakia addition and see where it goes from there. No patience for the small batch beta testing. Will advise on the outcome.
