Does anyone know of a website or book that dates cobs? I have one I've restored and have been smoking and another I'm working on today and I'm just curious. Not value $$ curious, just curious about the history and history in general.

One of the best ways to narrow it down is the sticker on the bottom. If I had to take a WAG I could only place from the 50s to the late 70s.

There's a youtuber with the name "Aristocob" (Scott) he owns a store that only sells corn cob pipes and he may know a great deal about the older ones. His store website is aristocob.com, which has his direct email address. You may want to send him a message, I'm sure he would be interested in helping you or put you into contact with someone who does. Also you could try emailing the company who made it and see if they are willing to date it for you. They may look at the pic for free if your lucky.

Thanks Rick, maybe I'll give her a ring. I thought it had a 50's /60's vibe to it. The bottom sticker is faded but definitely MM... metallic gold and red.
Thanks Eric. I've seen Aristocob's vids and his site.
Vesp: I thinks it's pretty sharp myself! Good smoker, like most cobs. I'm working on another now. I'll share some pics when done.
