Mis-Information On Member Info.

I have noticed this a few times in the past and today I see it again.

I'm reading a thread from 2017 where a member has made a post on 19 May 2017. I haven't seen this member for a while so hovered over his name and am told he joined 11 Feb 2017, was last seen 11 Feb 2017 and has made 481 posts!

So he made 481 posts in one day?

Also, if he was last seen on 11 Feb 2017 why am I reading a post of his dated 19 May 2017?

Something not quite right here.

I believe that upgrading to the new forum software from the old produces these incorrect dates. It is likely the old software did not keep track of all of these things, so the upgrade process tried to substitute guesses instead, to avoid having empty fields of data.

it's a great way to get kicked off the forum dominating every single post ever placed on the site. That really gets the moderators in a huff.

That is happening with members who have not logged into the site since the update. The new forum software does not know the "Last Seen' date from the old software.

Once they log in, the dates will register.

I've noticed that sometimes too. Thanks for clearing that up. I can barely remember the old forum setup anymore.
