Micoli ????

I need some info on a couple of pipes I picked up on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. They are I believe Micoli's since one of them is signed such on the stem (clear portion). I have looked up some info on this guy Robert Eugene Burns...."Mic". It seems he made some pretty crazy amazing rusticated pipes, 70's and 80's, but not anymore. Are these a worth hanging onto?

Nope, not working. Any suggestions...I used Bob's directions from a previous posting. I'm missing something. This was suppsed to be about my Micoli's. :x

A representative piece from the pipe logos website

A moderately rusticated/carved Micoli pipe compared to others from the same maker.

Notice the carving motif incorporated into the doubly bent stem.
Artisan: Robert Eugene (Mic) Burns carved pipes at least from the early 1970's.

Last news about him dates from November 2001. His son Ryan Burns stated in a forum

his father is still (2009) very much alive and is in excellent health.
The deeply Dremmel carved pipes are typical of R. Burns' work.

They are collectible and there are buyers on Ebay for his pipes. The estate market is pretty much the only source.

Nope. Can't seem to make it work. I guess they need to be smaller. this one was 600x450. Try again. If you plug Micoli into Ebay right now Ben's as one for sale....Mine are exactly...well not quite as cleaned up yet as that one. But you get the idea. Sorry guys for bumbling around with pics. I'll get it soon. Thx for the help and patience.

Thanks Lawrence, Once you come thru...I appreciate it. Wasn't sure about these pipes. I didn't know much about them and thought about taking them to an antique shop and selling them off cheap.

Reading up on them....maybe I know better now and will hang onto them. Is Burns still alive today? Last info on him was dated 2001 or something like that.
