Ok, this one will not be to everyone's taste, but something about the pipe drew me to it. I love how the briar was left natural. In any event, to each his own.

I like the look of the Novak pipes, I've wondered though if the design is purely aesthetic or is it functional at all. In other words, can you grip these things well?

peck, I have looked at his pipes for a while and really like the looks. I have noticed that they are all fairly heavy. I will be curious to hear how it smokes. I think it is a great looking pipe. I was eyeballing it on Thursday when I go their news letter. Another fine addition, hope you like it.

I like the natural briar, but those spirals, especially in the mid-section are just to wide(deep?)to my eye.

I like the "threaded" look to the pipe. But as ghost asked, I wonder how functional it would be. Either way Nice score. Congrats and Enjoy, peck!

Michal Novak does beautiful carvings.

I would have to hold one in my hand before buying one. They don't look like they would be comfortable to hold.

Let us know how you like it.

You will like that pipe. I spent some time talking to Michael in Chicago, he is a great guy. If I had only seen pictures of the pipes, I wouldn't like them at all. But holding it in your hand, you'll see the point of all that shaping is to fit your hand like a glove. They are amazingly comfortable to hold. Good choice Peck.
