I went over and visited Sparrowhawk yesterday, and took all the Sutliff stuff home, after sharing a bowl. (I already got a box from Sutliff, myself.) I put together 6 loot bags for newcomers, each containing the following:
1 tin Sutliff Archduke Ferdinand

1 tin Sutliff Taste of Spring

2 tins misc Sutliff aros

1 tin Sutliff latakia blend

1 tin MacBaren non-aro - either Dark Twist or Navy Flake

1 Sutliff coffee mug
4 of these are in big Sutliff tote bags. All Sutliff tins are 100 gm tins. I'll probably have more by our January gathering.
I want to thank Sparrow for kicking this off, and especially for getting us going with Sutliff. Kudos, dude! :puffy:

Hey Jud,
Are you still thinking of a trip up to Paul's Pipe in Flint any time soon?

A club trip, RD? I just pulled the trigger on another Cayuga Monday night. I looked at an apple and a pot a year ago; bought the apple. The pot was still there, so I said, why not?

Yep, club trip. I'm thinking sometime in the new year, perhaps mid Jan.

You guys will want January. I believe they're still doing the birthday sale; buy one pipe, get the second for what Paul's current age would be (somewhere around $1).

I've thought about a club trip to Paul's, but had thought about doing it later in the year. Do we want to think about trying one in January?

Do we have a date yet? Just want to see if I'll be free for the day.

Heck, I want to thank Jud for carrying out the duties of keeping the club together, something which I discovered I simply lacked the energy, knowledge, and experience to do. Even though I've been a forum member for going on two years, I still feel like a newbie.
