It looks like we're road-tripping home in October, from the New Orleans Pipe show. We're flying down and staying with my daughter, doing the show on Saturday and logging some time with the daughter & son-in-law. Then, driving back to Maryland over five days. We have three stops, from Monday to Thursday:
Jackson/MS - hopefully the Country Squire shop will be open (Monday)
Tuepelo/MS - the wife has to see birthplace of Elvis (Monday afternoon)
Memphis:

Graceland and other Elvis sites

Rock & Soul Museum

Sun Studios - maybe, we've been there before

Music - live bands
Any restaurant recommendations? We do like the non-tourist places. This site has some advice for music and food:
http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2013/aug/17/memphis-guide-to-the-blues
Nashville (Wednesday & Thursday)

Country Music Hall of Fame - for sure

Grand Ole Opray/Rhyland Auditorium (I'm not certain there is much to see here, unless a performance is scheduled
Friday - drive home to MD (about 16 hours...)
I'm open to advice on activities, food, etc. in either city.

In the sticks in Mississippi
Al, if you're in Jackson about lunchtime after the Country Squire, and you like Greek food, try Aladdins. It's on the same street as the Country Squire only back over I-55 a few blocks to the west. Nothing fancy but really great lamb chops, and other tasty Greek food.

Burger Republic in Nashville will set you up right! The burgers here are fantastic as are the deep fried pickles. They also have a great beer selection to go with that tasty burger. :puffy:

Thanks guys.
Now, we have decided to drive down and back (previously we were flying down, driving back). My parents are downsizing and my daughter in New Orleans would like some of their furniture. So, the Silverado gets loaded for the 19 hour drive. We'll shotgun it down there, to make the Friday night Meet & Greet, then mosey back up the coast.
This site has some what appear to be good recommendations for some juke/food joints:

We'll definitely hit one of the BBQ places in each towns list:
