If you stick around here long enough, you'll see the cycle of members which joined around the same time you did diminish and some will disappear. It's just the way the forum goes and you'll get used to it. Sometimes they make their way back sometimes they don't. Other times, you wished some members WOULD go away, like hobie.
I kid! I kid! :nana:

It is the nature of internet forums that people come and people go for a variety of reasons. When I decided to quit cigars, I stopped posting at a place where I was a member for over 11 years. It was actually a hard thing to do because I had made a ton of great friends, but I couldn't keep posting when I had quit cigars. It was too tempting. I still keep in touch with some of the guys, but it was time to move on. Being a moderator there was getting old as well, I felt like I was babysitting a bunch of 12 year olds who wouldn't stop fighting. They made a decision to allow political discussions and in my opinion it ruined the place. One of the main reasons I think this place is so civil is because that is not allowed, plus pipe smokers in general are a more thoughtful and tolerant group of people.

The ones that I wonder about were Toker and Cajunguy because both seemed to be going through individual struggles and then they disappeared.

I have sent him several PM's in regards to his well being. But now I am becoming frustrated as I have, to date, recieved only 6 tins of the 28 tins that I won in the Raffle. On top of that, I also sent an additional $20.00 to help with shipping to Canada. It has been over a Month now.

Members go missing all the time..because for the most part they are not into pipe smoking full time...some are just curious about it..and when the new wears off..they go missing!!

I hate to say it but I'm kind of wondering if he was scamming us.

I don't think so. He was around for five months before his dad died about a month ago and he disappeared shortly after that. My guess is that he just has more problems than he can cope with now.
I think we can only hope for the best.

I agree that he probably is just having a hard time now, but I would be lying if I said it didn't cross my mind. I always liked Jason and he has confided with me privately some of his problems. I just hope he finds his way back here as I know everyone here brought him joy as he did for us.

Usually, when a member appears as unregistered , it means that Kevin has deleted their account. This is done because they have asked to be deleted or they broke forum rules and Kevin was forced to delete their account.

nsfisher, how long has he owed you the rest of the tins and how long as he been ignoring you? If he is posting at another site, that is wrong. Storient, please pm me the site he is on. It is one thing to leave a place, but when you owe someone 22 tins, then you are a thief if you don't make good.
I once was in the middle of a trade for cigars in 1998, my dad unexpectedly died, I completed the trade the day after the funeral. When you take on an obligation, you complete it, I don't care about excuses.
