Looking for options with good stem work, open draw and preferably without the restrictive Delrin tenon.

What brands / makers fit this bill? I’m trying to actually find pipes to physically examine and hold but that’s difficult where I live. It would help if I knew which to look for and which to avoid.

I’m familiar with Paykok and find the draw quite restricted and the stems aren’t wonderful. I don’t love that Delrin tenon system.

Any advice appreciated.

I’d love to have a beautiful old meer like that but sadly I’ve never encountered one in the wild that wasn’t hammered to death so I’m aiming for something at least a century newer.
If you shop on Meerschaum Market, the tenon style you're looking for will be listed as briar type in the pipe's description.

I'm partial to Altinay overall...and I particularly like their stem work. But if you need Duane-level chamber capacity you may need to look elsewhere. Their large size is plenty big enough for me though.

Regular size is fine for me,
I have a bad neck, lol.
