WOW... my meer does not have that much color after six months of once a day smoking..
You aren't smoking creosote in that pipe are you?

LOL. No creosote, Just drug store brands like Prince Albert. I can't find any premium tobacco around here. I guess I have to start buying online.

Nice looking pipe but I believe I read somewhere that it usually takes a long time for a Meer to turn colors. But what do I know? :?:

The thing about coloring Meerschaum Pipes is that each one is

an individual case. Some will color relatively quickly, while others

do not. I've been smoking a CAO Bacchus since '82 and only now are

his eyes beginning to light up. Granted, it's uncommon for one to

color this quickly, but not unheard of. The White Goddess can make you

a slave, so sit back and enjoy the smoke.

That is great!

My egg and claw is 30 years old and I don't anywhere near that patina...
Keep us posted on your progress.

Hmmmm maybe I should smoke PA in mine....

Not all Meerschaum is created equal. I went to take the stem off for cleaning and the threads fell apart. LOL. I guess the lower grade meer isn't as dense as the guality block. It may be the reason it colored so fast. Any tips on putting the stem back ? Crazy glue ?

WOW! Yep, that must be a record! I've had a couple of meers for over 10 years and they have only turned pink around the rim like yours... NOTHING like yours on the bottom!
If I were you, I'd send it off to a meer specialist like NightOwl or Norwood. I haven't had to use them, but had their names in my bookmarks in case something happens.
