Hey guys, I was just at my local B&M and came across this fascinating little panel billiard. It's not made of briar and it takes filters, but I purchased it anyways. I have a few questions about it if anyone can help me out. Are there any special instructions for cleaning? Can I successfully smoke it without using filters? Any help would be nice!

Haha yeah, I wasn't fond of the whole filter thing. I can smoke it without one, right? And are there any special care precedures for brylon?

I have one by Medico they seem to smoke hot no matter what I do. I do use it as beater pipe it works well for that purpose. To clean, do it just like you would a Briar pipe. And unclearthur is right they are indestructible. I once dropped mine and I was back over by a buddy and not a crack. and when I say it smokes hot I mean it you might as well try to grab a clay by the bowl it will be about the same. Still I enjoy smoking it. Good luck.

I just got done having my first smoke in it, and well...I think it was very good! It got hotter than hades, but other than that I think it was rather enjoyable. I will continue to stick to briar in the future, but this certainly seems to be a steal at $20 bucks. Should I let it build a cake just as I would one of my briars? (Sorry for all the inquiries, I like to be as thorough as possible in most things :) )

I have a couple of Brylon, YEllo-boles. I use them for fishing, hiking and at my forge. They do get hot but they smoke fine. That said, I do not think that I shall be out looking for more. Two serve my purposes nicely.
