This blend is a new one to me. I know it's marketed as an alternative to EMP and I discovered it at my local B&M this past week. I picked up 2oz to give it a shot and I have to say I'm impressed with this one. I can't say how it compares to Dunhill EMP because I haven't smoked blend in years. On it's own merit though, A.M. is one of the better light English tobaccos I've enjoyed lately.
For a blend with Virginia, latakia, and oriental components, my initial impression was how well balanced it is. The flavors all work together in perfect harmony and make it very easy to enjoy. The sweet and smokey components all play together well, never overpowering one way or the other. It certainly lives up to it's name and goes great with a morning cup of coffee or I could see this being a great change of pace or intro blend for those who are not regular English smokers.
I poked around the various reviews and there's a lot of debate back and forth comparing it to EMP, which is expected since it's marketed as McClelland's version. Although I can't contribute to that discussion, I can say for that what it is, this one is a winner that will probably make it into a big jar in my cellar if it remains as consistently enjoyable as it has thusfar.
