Here we go with my first attempt at a review. I am an absolute amature so be gentle with me.
This Brindle flake is something else. The tin note was of prunes and faint sour cherry. The subtlest hint of that BBQ sauce tang. Moisture content of this partially rubbed flake is perfect to smoke straight from the tin. It took to the flame easily and seems to be staying lit. I am not very good at smoking flakes and usually have to relight numerous times.
It is smoking cool and mild. There is tang and there is sweet and both are melded together perfectly and subtly with every glorious puff. Occasionally that prune aroma drifts by on the palette. It burns ever so gently through the nose. I cannot comment on room note as my wife/ dictator of what can be smoked inside, is not present.
This is the finest McClelland that I have smoked to date.
