Marxman apple pipe

I just picked up a Marxman small apple bowl pipe that looks rustic not smooth. Anyone know anything about this company? it also stamped mellow briar imported. It is a clean smoker in great shape.

I have two, both are terrific smokers, one is a rusticated straight apple and the other is a Marxman Super-Briar smooth Canadian. They were big in the 30’s & 40’s and Marxman stopped production in the early 50’s. Very good Algerian briar, nice dry smoking pipes.
