Got my stem in the mail yesterday and decided to give it a shot on my New Maple Hardwood MM.

Still unsure on "Maplewarden" name though, any suggestions?

I've been looking into getting a 'warden stem for my Maple MM as well, you'll have to let me know how it smokes.

:worship: It really looks good.

How about the White Warden.
Oh that sucked.
Still good looking pipe though.

I don't believe it's possible that a "Warden", of any kind, will smoke badly. (Insert open can of worms here.)

I love all of mine.
Happy puffing!

Glad to hear, 05venturer.
Perhaps I'll be getting on that next purchase sooner than expected. As for your own Maplewarden, enjoy!

05venturer, did you take that down to bare wood or is that a stock finish on the bowl? Like the looks of that a lot, I also received some stems recently and have been pleased with my first experiences with the churchwarden length as it seems to help me slow down a bit. I've not actually seen any of the new hardwood pipes so I apologize for my ignorance if it's warranted. Have a good weekend and thanks for sharing. :puffy:

intrepid721,

that is the stock finish, great looking and great smoking pipe. Plus I have less than $20 into it. Got the pipe for around $9 and purchased the stem off ebay for $11 unfinished and cleaned it up myself, not the prettiest stem but sure smokes good. This is my 1st "Warden" stem, I like it, I like it alot.

Hey, thanks for the response, I just ordered a maple and a cherry to give a try, I think it looks great and really as long as it smokes well, aesthetics play second fiddle in my book, most of my pipes are function over form, though I do have a few briar's I think are pretty sharp looking when I'm looking to impress, which is very seldom the case. I had a car full of kids laughing their asses off at me on the way home from work the other day, now I can't say if it was the beat up cob that rides around in my work bag all day hanging from my mouth, or if they were amused at the fact I was smoking a pipe in general, hell it could have been my goofy good looks or a booger malfunction, who knows. I didn't concern myself with it too much as they were pretty funny looking too and I was having a great smoke. Guess that's my sign, I'm getting old. Hope you enjoy your warden stem, should last a good long time. Happy puffing and thanks for the response, cheers! :puffy:
