Maple Street Tobacco

Yesterday I received another 1.5 can of Maple and Old Rum tobacco. I really LOVE the stuff.

I ordered a freebie a few weeks ago and it arrived last Thursday -- No. 5 blend.

It's a rather bold English blend, a little heavy for my taste. Maybe I'll mix it with something.

The No. 5 Blend is the Sutliffe match for Dunhill's My Mixture 965. My local tobacconists match for 965 is more tasty, but I haven't been able to get any of the real 965 to see how either compares...

I got mine, thanks to the link that was posted last month on here, it was very tasty, after the 1.5oz I ordered another pind on sale. it was delicious. Thanks for posting that link last month for the free samples.

I just receive my sample from my Sis, I sent some to my her address, they opened it up thinking it was peanuts or some sort of candy, boy were they surprised :lol: Looking forward to trying it this weekend, I really like their No.5 sample, going to order some more.

I have actually really enjoyed the Sutliff blends, I am mainly an Aromatic smoker and the sutliff blends hit home! My New Years TAD consisted completely of their tins, I ordered four tins of each of my favorites! :D

me too bubba, I know some folks don't really like altadis stuff from what I've gathered on the net, but I like what I have tried so far from this Sutliff line. Whats some of your other Sutliff fav's? I'm looking to try a couple new ones when I place an order for some more No.5.

I again tried Maple Street with awful results, a pity. It just bites my tongue like crazy. Funny though there are other aromatics that I smoke don't. Obviously from my readings of other threads, the phenomena of one blend biting for one person and not another is common.
Guess Maple Street is not for me. It won't stop me from trying other Sutliff blends though...

They have a blend called Molte Dolce which is my favorite, Top Shelf is another, and R-blend is really good also! The only one I haven't liked is the Great Outdoors blend!

Also received a tin of Maple Street a while back. It's a nice, sweet blend that goes well with a cup of tea when I get home late at night. Ribbon cut, loads, lights, and burns well and shines in a MM cob. I'll buy more when the freebie tin is gone.

I am a big fan of Maple, so I tried maple street and the room note is one of the best, almost a smokey pancake, and the smell left in the pipe bowl a couple days later smells so much like pancakes, great stuff. I highly recommend it. Wish it was a full 2oz tin though.
