I went to the IOM TT back in '87 and we spent a whole 2 weeks watching the practice sessions & races and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves though camping out in a waterlogged potato field was no fun.

We did Assen twice ('86 & '88) but the IOM is just unbeatable for the atmosphere but I digress, so what TV channel is it on or is it only on a PPV channel?

I was watching highlights last night on ITV4. I think you need a subscription to watch it live.

Sadly that is the way with sports nowadays, as if these folk don't have enough money already!

Snooker is the exception (for now), I only recently finished watching the many hours I recorded of the world championships on BBC.

I'll check out ITV later and if I find it I'll record what I can (I absolutely abhor TV adverts) so thanks for the tip 👍.

i went in 77 and 78 .(The second being the year of the comeback of the late great Mike Hailwood win on a Ducati ) along with about 20 others from the Suffolk Triumph owners club,we rented a couple of flats in Douglas and all squashed in.
I vaguely remember having a beer in every pub on the circuit (there more then than now) on mad sunday.Would probably get locked up today for that.

There's a bunch of highlights (and perhaps full Trials) available on YouTube in the States. Dunno what you can get in the UK. Good luck!

I watched some sidecar racing last night.....truly nail-biting stuff, especially when overtaking.

I've ridden many a motorcycle at insane speeds but would never be a sidecarman in a race.....literally millimetres from the ground at those speeds.....no thank you cray

was that on YouTube?
No John, it was on regular TV. I recorded it to clip the ads. Sadly after the ads are clipped and the chit chat is clipped, you're lucky to get 35 minutes of actual racing from a 1 hour show.

Last night I watched some superbike racing from the previous day. Incredible!

But now they have cameras on the bikes, watching the racers hit 200MPH + really brings home how dangerous this sport is.

Any street racing for motorcycles in the US?

Jay.

Asked of Jay, but anyone in UK could clarify, please.

Probably but I don't follow it regularly.

My question - and perhaps I am asking the wrong chap- is YouTube widely available and is it a good source for sports in the UK?
