I'm sorry, majilton. I've read this a few times and I still don't know what you're asking.

Well sure every well equiped home has one . Every one needs left over screws from the ceiling fan , dead batteries , keys for every place you have ever lived and keys to cars and padlocks you know longer own . Glade air freshioners that do not fit the holders and holders that you can not get refills for .One roll of electric tape covered in dog hair . A eyeglass repair kit ,Yep you can buy a house but it is not a home without the drawer.

We have a "man" set of drawers. It's all neatly labeled by drawer: batteries (3 kids, we need a lot of batteries), Hardware, Tools, Buttons, etc... in the bedroom so that it's all easily available and found.

You're missing the point Cyndi...to make it an offical junk drawer everything nees to be jumbled together. Labeling completely defeats the purpose of the junk drawer.
You are missing the thrill of the hunt, the joy of discovery, and the resulting confusion when you find some object and no longer have any idea what/where/who it came from.

@cyndi, but girl drawers smell like lilac, men drawers smell like motor oil and chewing gum.
I have found most men are universal, money in right front pocket, stuff in left front, wallet in left rear and keys in right rear. Almost every guy I know does this if he is a right hander. My wife says we were all made from the same cookie cutter, just baked different.

I have so much junk hooked to my belt, I feel like Batman. Only difference is my "utility belt" includes a .45 automatic.
Now, if I just had enough ass to hold my pants up!

My household has a total of 3 junk drawers.
1 in the kitchen which is a unisex junk drawer. And the other two are located in the night stand. The top is her personal junk drawer, and the bottom is mine. Plenty of useful things in there. mostly misc receipts that I have to go through and organize and place elsewhere every couple of weeks.
It's a jail really. A temp holding cell for stuff that then gets transferd to a more permanent location. Then I smoke a bowl when chores are complete.
Feels good being the warden. :puffy:

I have like 10 of them through out the house. Usually it never gets organized or cleaned and when ever something is lost that you have to have right then...its usually in one of those drawers. you know my roll away tool box is kinda getting that way also...maybe its time to organize that one.

LOL, I have OCD (like clinically and I'm medicated) so EVERYTHING gets labeled until Shaun forcibly pries the Sharpie from my fingers. ;)
Also, it's not a girly drawer - it's made of red metal toolbox style.
