Can anyone give me any information about MacQueen pipes? I have heard they have terrible customer service and take forever to ship their products, but I really want a long wooden churchwarden pipe like Gandalf, because I a big fan of the LOTR series and Gandalf is awesome. I found one other website that sells pipes like this, but I know nothing about them. Are MacQueen pipes good quality and worth the hassle? Is there another place that sells good quality LOTR inspired churchwardens?

I have always voted "Yay" for MacQueen pipes. Mine smokes well, and is a lot of fun. My buddy's, the same. I wouldn't say I'm 100% pleased with the drilling, but again, at the end of the day - I get nice smokes out of it. And it looks really cool. And they're pretty cheap.
The reason for the wait time, is that they don't stock extra pipes. They make a number that they send to retailers, and then, once they get YOUR email, BEGIN making YOUR pipe. So, very long wait. Wait isn't a problem, and is really worth it. The problem is they don't respond to emails well and people get antsy. So, if you want to avoid the troubles, order from another source. Pipes and Cigars has them, amongst others for sure.

I have a MacQueen as well. It is actually a really good smoker! However the customer service is absolutely abysmal. If you can pick one up from an e-tailer then go for it, for the price they're worth it, and you won't have to go through the ridiculous wait time. I just recently picked up a Stanwell Hans Christian Anderson churchwarden that comes with a standard length stem along with the churchwarden stem. This pipe is significantly more expensive but it blows the MacQueen out of the water in terms of smokeability (and I really like the Macqueen).
