Merry Christmas everyone.

I gifted myself some HALBERG Green label tobacco. It is very aromatic. Can someone please help in identifying the production date? The brochure talks about 2012, but I am not sure if it was procured later as well. I leave some photos below.

Thank you,
Migwar

Where did you find that? The Halberg aromatic series hasn't been made in a few years (which is a great pity). They were listed as blended by Harald himself -- which, if strictly true, means that they were developed before 1919. But perhaps I misunderstand that point.

There were a Red, a Green, and a Yellow. They came packaged in the highest class boxes you could imagine, with the neatest magnetic flaps. From the boxes you'd think that they contained exquisitely rare cognac or something.

I myself had only the red. I acquired an unopened box in 2021 I think from a guy's cellar ... it was not dated but most of the tobaccos around it were dated 2017, so perhaps it was bought around that time?

I normally smoke VAs, and although there is a small handful of aromatics that I appreciate on occasion, most taste artificial to me. But this Halberg Red is one of the best I've ever had. I may like it better than anything from Boswell, and that's saying something as far as aromatics go.

I jarred much of the Red, knowing I'd never get it again, and have perhaps one or two bowls a year, to make it last.

The difficulty lies in the fact that information about it is not very common. The stylish and fancy box and so on are a fact as you mentioned @SBC. I also have got the red one. In terms of development before 1919 and if the same method and blend were preserved, I will be then very lucky.
I'm uncertain about 2014 @First Sealord; I will connect mine to the most recent production date if someone can pinpoint it.
