Anyone own one? How happy are you with it? Would you purchase one again?

Excellent question. I've been considering one for a while. If you peruse the "What are you smoking threads", it appears several members have one.
Also the following quotes are from other threads. Based on all this, I have had my eye on one for a while, but just waiting for the right moment.
even though it is a new pipe, a Luciano blasted apple. They are, by far the most consistently good smokers that I own.

It seems to be smoking fine. In retrospect, I wish I would've followed smokindawg's advice, and bought something different.

Recently acquired my first Luciano. Great smoker, and I'm very impressed with this pipe for the price.

I have two Lucianos and they are absolutely great smokers! Price can't be beat.

I own this Luciano:

It is one of my better smokers. I would definitely buy another one. This particular pipe seems to just LOVE light English blends. I just didn't see it as a Latakia smoker so after trying everything from aromatics to Virginias in it, I was going to plant it firmly in the "average" category. Then I tried a bowl of Samuel Gawith Squadron Leader in it and thought...hmmmmm. Then A bowl of Skiff Mixture and I thought...oooooooh. Then A bowl of Dunhill Early Morning Pipe and thought, well smack my ass and call me Sally, this is an awesome light English smoker! I love the aesthetic and have respect for the engineering. It has become one of my best smokers. Buy one brother. They are a great bang for the buck.

Les, you aren't the same Les as the one who loves to do these little 6 day forays into the great wild yonder by chance ?

Wow, I feel important. I was actually quoted!
Yeah, I have two "short" Canadians. I love the first, so I bought the second. The second...eh. I've not been smoking pipes long, so I'm no expert, BUT I think I'm a fairly rational person. The first one I bought is my second favorite pipe. My favorite pipe was $260+ more. I've given up on the second one, and will most likely be selling it. Please keep in mind though, as it bears repeating: I'M NO EXPERT.

Recently acquired one, as quoted above, and after several smokes I'm still very impressed. Smokes great and, imo, very good quality for the price range. This is my first Luciano, but definitely won't be my last, Lord willin'. Highly recommended. :puffy:

@ jchaplick: Yeah I had no intention of buying a pipe when that thing popped up on Smokingpipes. Soon as I clicked on the pic I had to have it...I mean I was desperate for it. Love the blast, shape, colour, the two dot logo, the fact that the bowl was not precarbonized...everything about it called to me and spoke soothing tones to my wallet to pry from her my hard earned dollars.
@ nobail: Love that Rhodesian!

I have been looking at one for quite a while, but one thing has held me back. I love the look and of course with my tendency for colored stems, this fits right in my alley.

But here's the problem, there seems to be a gash or cut on the left hand side of the shank. And it seems pretty deep. I'm sure it doesn't detract from the smoking qualities, but when I buy a new pipe, I don't want one with a damaged finish. Especially a $130 pipe ! Would you buy it ? Here's a close-up.
