Hey guys just wanted to share my newest addition from Ahmet Gövem. It smokes amazingly, in my opinion far cooler and far nicer than any briar pipe ive ever tried. Also its much easier to smoke the entire bowl and stay lit on virtually every tabacco ive tried so far. The other benefit is it seems to impart zero taste.

Its so good im having him make me a custom one of my favorite maincoon cat. Hes working with me on making a fully custom work with bigger ID tabacco hole and custom bend so my thumb fits nicley between stem and pipe. Ill post photos of his results, i sent him photos of my cat to work off of.

Indeed, at this point the meer bug bit me hard I think im sticking with meers going forward for the forseeabld future.... briar is nice just not as good and similarily priced.

Give fred a nice ear rub for me, hea a beautiful cat!

So about maintenance is it similar or same as a briar? Hot water and pipe cleaner?

That cat is absolutely beautiful! I bet having a meer of your cat would be pretty cool.
I have always wanted a meerschaum pipe but never committed to actually buying one. I guess the seller that you referenced is reputable?
Thank you for sharing!

In the semi-rural NorthEastern USA
meer can impart flavor but they don't seem to hang out the way they can in briar. More intense but less staying power. I thought meers didn't ghost until my meer ghosted. I don't smoke it much to be honest and the ghost was gone after a few smokes but a briar ghost is nothing. Like I had to double check the jars to make sure I didn't still have a jar of that stuff left.
