I enjoy clays myself, and own 5 of em. Dipping the bit end in a beer makes the dry clay a lil nore tolerable. There is a thread on this forum about using shrink wrap to seal the end as well, but I haven't tried it yet. I might also recommend a LePeltier Clay pipe, as they have vulcanite stems. Just myy 2 cents worth, lol. Enjoy!

Nice looking pipe, pawpaw. Do your clay pipes get hot? Can you hold them by the bowl?
Has anyone tried the Lepeltier Clay pipes? Some of the decorated ones made me think of aussielass.

I've never owned or smoked a clay pipe. Can't seem to get past the plaster of paris look.
