Loss of Taste - Think It'll Come Back?

I was recently sick and after recovering I find my taste is not the same. I had for weeks been exclusively smoking "Pride of Loch Lomond" an English/Scottish blended by LJ Peretti of Boston. It's one of my favorite blends and was a Christmas present from my mother. It also happens to be the only tin of anything I have left due to being jobless for the last two and a half months. I digress.
The blend has a hefty portion of Latakia which I now can hardly detect. I do find the Virginia portion coming out very strong. So the blend went from having qualities of pine smoke, moss, earth, and pepper with a very very mild honey sweetness to quite sweet with flavors of orange/lemon, hazelnut, honey, and merlot. It is like a completely different blend.
This flavour change has gone on now for probably 7 smokes in about 5 days. The oddest part is my illness was a stomach virus. Not a headcold.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Will I ever taste Latakia again???????!!!

I had a long cold. It was interesting, everything tasted BETTER with the cold! Now, a few weeks later, everything is back to normal.

I have no doubt you'll recover. At least, if you abstain from sex or have massive amounts of sex!
