I just picked up a Lorenzetti Constantine Billard at my local B&M. Filled it up with some Frog Morton Cellar and it was probably the best smoke I had in a while. I only have a few pipes, 4 as of now. I've been smoking the FMC in an old Brigham System, looks like a 63 on their site, and the latikia is overpowering so I sort of dedicated it to latikia blends. Frog Morton Cellar tastes so good I had to break in my new Billard with it.
It always gurgled a bit in the Brigham but smoked fine in the Lorenzetti. I took out the filter adapter as I am not using a filter in it. Great Smoke. Perhaps the gurgle was the pipe and not my technique.

That's a handsome pipe from the Constantine offered (a bent apple) by Iwan Ries, with good smooth finish and contrasting stain bands. Is your straight or bent? Sounds like a winner.

The Constantine is my favorite of all finishes and Lorenzetti's are my favorite brand, so far. I can't afford a more expensive pipe than that. I have two Constantines, a Julius Caesar, and a Nero.

Mine is the straight. The finish is very rich and dark but not not too dark. The stain is still light enough to bring out a nice contrast in the grain.
