I collected pipes back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I think I was ahead of the curve in that I bought some nice pipes. I met Anne Julie in Denmark after she first started making pipes. I also me Carlo Scotti at his factory in Cantu. It was a memorable experience in both instances. Particularly meeting with Carlo Scotti who was a kind fellow and actually gave me a pipe for singing him a "cowboy" song on my guitar. Anyway, I haven't smokes my pipe for decades and am realizing there is a bit of money tied up in them. I would appreciate any info as to value. I can send images. Haven't figured out how to post pics here. I buy and sell vintage fountain pens but pipes are not my field of expertise. Thanks for any help.

From what I've been able to discern, our forum brother pipestud is your best source and potential resource.

First and foremost about what I've gleaned is that he is honest AND successful.

You can get a pretty good idea of market values by using eBay's "advanced search" mode and typing in "completed listings" after entering the appropriate keywords. Also look at offering at various on line dealers. Pipestud is a good source, so is Briar Blues, Smoking Pipes, etc. Cast a wide net. The Anne Julie is probably in the low to mid four figures, depending on condition.
