Looking for English Blends with very Little Latakia I do like Latakia but not a lot of it. Any recommendations?

Edward g robinson. It is 1% and will give you an appreciation for just how far a little latakia can go....

Rattrays red rapparee, Presbyterian, bobs choc flake, plumcake all have some but not TOO much.

You can also explore some oriental-forward Balkans. Some of those focus on the (unfired) orientals with Latakia being a condiment.

If you really like orientals, it's hard to go wrong with Robert Lewis Orcilla and Rattray's Red Rapparee, but I wouldn't consider them English, strictly speaking.

I also get some blending tobacco and out the smallest amount with your own combination of virginia, oriental, burley to taste.

If you just want hints of latakia, maybe try GLP's Lombard and Laurel Heights. The Virginias are the stars of the show, but the latakia adds the leather and chewiness.

Same here. Great blend that you will enjoy even if your are fed up of Englishes.

Fillmore is a Vaper with a small amount of latakia, although I do perceive it a lot. Chocolate flakes from SG and GH both have tiny Latakia which just integrates in the whole blend.

I too am not a fan of Latakia. I've been working through a tin of Orcilla Mixture and like it quite a bit.

+1 for Presbyterian

You could start and end your journey there and never tire.

Early Morning Pipe (note: I’ve only had the Peterson version) is wonderful but a very different experience from Presbyterian. I find EMP to have more body and presence and so gives the impression of having more Latakia (and probably does in actuality).

Another to consider is C&D Stratfordshire. The presence of burley and black cavendish really round out the latakia making it a soft English.

Presbyterian, 965, red rapparree. Dunno if you can get DTM Midnight Ride, Orientals with virginia and a pinch of perique.

Try Presbyterian. Has the advantage of being well priced for tins. There is Early Morning Pipe but the Dunhill/Petersen blends made by STG get bitter halfway through the bowl, and EMP has a surprising amount of nicotine.

Oh boy. I don't think there's concensus on some stuff. Oriental leaf is grown in Greece, Turkey, Macedonia, etc. so an "Oriental" blend has that as a component. Balkan blends are usually "English" in that they have Latakia, but are more Oriental forward than English, which tend to focus on the Latakia. This is convoluted by Red Rapparee, Black Mallory, McConnell Oriental, and other Cavendish-bearing "Scottish" blends.

It's a journey through a forest. I like em all.

Pease "Kensington" is another with not too much latakia but lots of other fun flavor going on. JJ Fox Dorisco is a va/per with just a whisper of latakia too. Very mild.
