So, I've been looking for a Dublin. Originally I was going to snatch up a dublin style from P&C, but.. I'd honestly like something a bit more.. I dunno, rare, something a bit more.. me, I guess is the best way to put it.. I like them, but, I am worried it may be too small, or too... anything. Anyone got tips for this or might know what size those dublins are? Quick reference:

Not quite sure what you are worried about. I'm sure they would be fine. I own 2 Savinelli dublins and they are awesome.

It's difficult to anticipate what another person might fancy, but I agree, these are handsome pipes, but distinctly Danish in their spin, which can be wonderful or not, depending on what you have in mind. Smokingpipes.com has some striking Sebastian Beo Dublins right now. And there are always Petes and Savenellis, and Sav's lower priced line, Rossi, all of which have Dublin shapes. It's a common shape and well done by a number of company's at a fairly wide range of prices, so good luck.

My first briar pipe was about 35, and when I got it it was... itty bitty. SO small.. Like.. 15 min smoke fully packed. I'm hesitant to get another pipe offline that I haven't seen in person.

Many/most online retailers tell you the pipe size in measurements or Group size, so this shouldn't be a problem. smokingpipes.com is especially rigorous in giving measurements and weights on every pipe, as well a photos of that particular pipe. Iwan Ries uses the Dunhill Group sizes which takes a little learning curve but is helpful. Cup O Joes lines up the pipe photos against a one-inch grid, although they don't always give measures on chamber diameter and depth, but often they do. Still, starting out at a brick-and-mortar shop may be a good idea, and worth the slightly higher price you'll likely pay. Incidentally, small pipes can be great for certain purposes, but it's true, it's not usually the best way to start out.

Once "pipe of the year"'s are gone, they are hard to find, You can check e-bay.
There are lots of beautiful Nordings at smokingpipes.com
I love the Royal Flush
It looks like the Stanwell and it is a Nording and a dublin.

Here's a similarly shaped one. I have a couple of Big Ben's and love them!
