Does a pipe this big come apart in multiple pieces? Or is that one huge piece of meerschaum?

When I look at this pipe, my first thought is how much time did it take to carve it? That's quite impressive!

Meerschaum market has a number of traditional shapes in a group 3 smooth size that are perfectly clenchable. The brand is SRV. The have a delrin tenon with a plastic sleeve in the mortise and run about $150.

I’ve looked at those a number of times. Love that they offer classic shapes.

First pipe is an imitation of the ivory pipes made in Dieppe, which usually took that exact form, with the lady wearing a lace ruff and eagle head at the bottom.
