Yes. You do.I need some of those glasses
Spent many a day climbing in that area in the 70’s and 80’s. You’re right, one of the most magical places in the east.Brother used to live up in Sylva/Tuckasegee up that curvy road going to Cashiers for quite some time. One of those rare places that is among the most beautiful on Earth, but little known (at least back in the day). Night sky is so clear up there. Came up there every break I got for years. Not god's country as much as Heaven itself. He had a restaurant up near the Ingles in Cashiers. Miss it dearly. Welcome back.

Oh and trouttimes. Some of the best fly fishing in the world is literally a short walk from my place…Spent many a day climbing in that area in the 70’s and 80’s. You’re right, one of the most magical places in the east.
It happens….Does smoking a pipe turn you into a wizard? ‘Cause I am getting wizard vibes….
My son is at WCU studying electrical engineering. Small world! We love it up there and try to visit as much as we can. He also spent many years going to summer camp in Brevard.Hey to you and trout!
Yea I am privileged to live here. I am up in Cullowhee in a cabin up above the University.
I currently work, also as a Wilderness Field Instructor out of Old Fort in the Pisgah NF. So basically I take groups of troubled kids out for eight days at a time. So basically I spend 60% of my life out in the field, backpack on back, sleeping on the ground!
Unfortunately our program is no tobacco so no pipe!
I can tell you getting ‘home’ from
The Woods and sitting down for a smoke feels good.
I put ‘home’ in quotes because even when I get here for time off I’m usually right back out… my apartment is just a pace really to store gear.
Basically I live in the woods.
